My Journey from Student to Entrepreneur
On 3 May 2023, an article was published capturing a pivotal moment in my career as a fashion designer. Today, a year later, I’d like to take you on a journey from the origins of my passion to the founding of my own label.
The Spark That Started It All
It all began with an open day. As I accompanied my sister to the HTL in Dornbirn, I found myself captivated by a fashion show. That moment ignited a passion that would shape my future. Even then, I knew I wanted to create my own fashion one day – a vision that blends creativity with purpose.
From Vision to Reality
The 2023 article described me as a fashion design student at HTW Berlin. My project “Second Skin” had just won the Young-Art-Award from Hohenems’ ART.space gallery-T-69. This recognition wasn’t just a personal achievement; it was a nod to the growing importance of sustainability in fashion.
Sustainability at the Core
“Second Skin” explored the fascinating intersection of nature, art, and fashion. Inspired by the animal kingdom – particularly the metamorphosis of butterflies and the adaptability of reptiles – I crafted a collection that speaks to renewal and transformation. Using bio-plastics, I created a literal ‘second skin’ that challenges our perception of clothing.
Fashion as Art, Art as Fashion
In my work, I blur the lines between fashion and art. Each piece is a wearable canvas, inviting the viewer to appreciate clothing as they would a painting. My style? Modern, feminine, experimental, and futuristic. I focus on clean elements and unique cuts that make each design stand out.
From Student to Entrepreneur
Today, a year after that article, I stand at an exciting turning point. The vision I had as a student is now becoming a reality. I’m in the midst of founding my own label – a step that elevates my passion for sustainable fashion to a new level.
Shaping the Future
My goal is to make my unique blend of art, sustainability, and fashion accessible to a wider audience. I’m working on creating wear that’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally conscious. It’s about crafting a future where style and sustainability go hand in hand.
