The Big Day: 09.09.2022
It’s hard to believe that some time has passed since my first fashion show, yet I’m still overwhelmed by the emotions of that special day. On September 9, 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to present my collection “High Expectations” as part of the 4th semester show “Rough Cut”.
The Setting: Platte Berlin
Platte Berlin provided the perfect stage for our creations. This location, with its raw and authentic atmosphere, lent our show a truly special energy. It felt as if the walls themselves were telling the stories of our designs.
Behind the Scenes: The “Identity” Course
This show was the result of hard work and self-reflection in the “Identity” course, led by Anke Schlöder. Here, we learned not only to create fashion but also to look deep within ourselves. For me, this journey led to insights about the high expectations I place on myself and others – a theme that became the heart of my collection.
“High Expectations” – More Than Just Fashion
My collection tells a story of constriction and liberation. Each piece represents the struggle between the expectations that can bind us and the freedom we find when we let them go.
The Stars of the Evening
A big thank you goes to my wonderful models, Lilo Gruner and Julia Rothe. They perfectly embodied my vision and brought the designs to life. Their presence on the runway was simply magical.
A Collaborative Effort
This show wouldn’t have been possible without the support of many people. From my fellow students to Anke Schlöder to the talented artists at HUM – everyone contributed their part to make this dream a reality.
A Feeling of Gratitude
Even though some time has passed, I’m still speechless. The show was simply incredible, and I’m infinitely grateful that I was able to be part of it with my “High Expectations” collection. It was a moment I’ll never forget – a milestone in my journey as a designer.
Looking Ahead
This experience has allowed me to grow not only as a designer but also as a person. It has shown me what’s possible when you believe in yourself. I can’t wait to see where this path will lead me next.
